I think there is a lot more to this particular murder than women are hoping for. Jill Dando suffered a similar fate and the only arrest was a totally innocent male.

The only sure way to get to grips with this issue is through legislation. Traditional methods have failed. These negative attitudes are far too ingrained throughout society and these particular males are far too ignorant to be educated via normal channels.

Legislation wont work.
There are so many factors that lead to Domestic Violence.
Mental Health, Housing problems, unemployment, poor parenting, low educational achievement, lack of male role models, access to harcore pornography.
All those things and more have a bearing on rates of Domestic Violence.

I know it's a typical Meme, but imagine a single man, with no job, no social life to speak of.
He invariably turns to porn, which changes his expectations of sex.
Probably drinks, maybe does drugs to take away the pain of his own percieved uselessness.

Eventually regular Porn isnt enough and he begins to access more hardcore.
Perhaps wants to watch a real girl so watches CamGirl shows, maybe even tips them, thereby reducing his money even further.
Maybe ends up on Only Fans.

Then miracle of miracle, he manages to get a girl interested in him, perhaps through a chat room.
What happens?
He has no idea how to treat her, his imagination is filled with the hardcore sex scenes he now views as normal.
When his partner doesn't like it, or even worse dumps him, he goes off the deep end.

Thats just one single example of a possible Domestic Violence case waiting to happen.


What can we do, how can we possibly legislate all of that?

I mean, roughly 2.5 times as many people are killed in Road Traffic Accidents than are murdered (1784 to 762, 2018 Stats)

Yet driving is legislated to the hilt.

As for making "misogyny" a hate crime, thats typical government stupidity, yet another attempt to control speech and protect peoples "Feelings".
All it will do is drive it underground, better for hate speech see the light of day and be defeated by hearing a**h**** talk and telling them how stupid they are for thier views.

The only way you defeat hate is with education and social stability, not force, that always makes it worse as it alienates already angry people.
That never ends well.

And you know what? We all have choices. We can choose not to be violent. We can choose to change ourselves. No matter how bad our upbringing is or our circumstances, we make all our own choices. So, unless a person is certified insane, then the reasons you state might explain the violence but it never excuses it.
