UKChat,
Come and have a spat.
They got every kind of ruck you can pull out of a hat.
Large ones, small ones, some as big as your head,
But you better have some balls and be careful how you tread.

The women are all harridans who run around in cliques
and scare the men so much that they're pooping in their breeks
Don't be a twat and act like a prat with the older members here
of a certain constitution, just keep it all low gear.

For delicate wee flowers can easily be bruised
And paranoia might well annoy ya when they're feeling disabused.
Be gentle with their feelings, and don't indulge in farce
Even though, with a well aimed toe, you wanna kick 'em up the arse.

The End.

Light In A Box by HeuristicMonkey

We are clockwork toys
Listening to clockwork music
Written by clockwork artists
Dancing for the clockwork rich
Pushed forward by clockwork momentum
Breathing in my in your in their in our in this
Clockwork time
Within and without a clockwork universe
That doesn't understand
How a heart thumps
Nor how a clock works
Between each beat
A big bang
A change
Another big bang
The time between the beat
Like unending
Never had a beginning
Clockwork

Free

So many years I yearned to be free,
To fly unfettered, being me.
Sounds so easy just to be
Who you are, loved and free.
The road was hard, my friend.
I kept sight of the end.

I met the devil on my way,
He came so close, leading me astray.
Away from the freedom I'd always desired,
I thought we were flying higher and higher.
He took me to hell, and beyond.
Away from the freedom that I longed.
He almost broke me,
Untill I broke free.
Because good people love me
And they helped me see
Now I'm rid of him, I am truly free.

Human Nuture by Dell P MacTaighain

There’s a strength in the blindness we see

There’s a wall we build around ourselves

We construct glory holes to see who’s coming

Whimsical and innuendo and shameful in nature

Disparage the important by deflection and reflection

A snail could blink louder than the disparity without

The roar of our craven nature grieving within

Expelled by the vicarious nature of desire

The children we develop on our knees

Looking for answers and reasons

Call to arms of the new born

In disintegrating

Circles

Of

Unending nonbeginning uninterrupted unruled Life

Peace (for Ukraine – whatever that means) by Dell P MacTaighain

Silence

You take my breath away

A gap

In the tick tock of noise

My hands can drop from my ears

In hidden holes

And grasp what’s valuable

The music of human touch

My family

Not dancing just hiding

Your song

Your song

My favourite perfection

Chasing perfection is a lonely pursuit

Search for it within life and you’ll find chaos

Seek it in friendship and you’ll discover betrayal

Hunt for it without the dynamics of toil

And you will feel cheap and wasted

Grasp it tight and grip fondly its moments

For that is all they are

Treasure it within the time of this few unmeasured breaths

Hold it as close as you would a newborn child

Encase it in thought and take your next step forward

And then recall it in your eternal sleep

For that was its purpose
You didn't use purple.

Alas! the love of women! it is known
To be a lovely and a fearful thing;
For all of theirs upon that die is thrown,
And if 't is lost, life hath no more to bring
To them but mockeries of the past alone,
And their revenge is as the tiger's spring,
Deadly, and quick, and crushing; yet, as real
Torture is theirs, what they inflict they feel.

How many light bulbs does it take to change a human?

By Dell P MacTaighain

The brain is nothing more than a fuse box or breaker box

An aneurism is all fuses outwardly blown

A stroke is a fuse inwardly thrown

A seizure (I’m an epileptic so know) is

A fuse switch flicked to off – needs flicking back on

Have you turned it off and on again? Repeat…

Take a house and all its stuff from toaster to boiler

These exist beyond the breaker box

It channels the flow

Behind the breaker box pushing out

Exists the electricity bringing in

What creates the electricity…

That destroys the space

Of a grasping hand

That contains a rose

To someone you love…

I'm grateful you didn't go into amps vs voltage lol (not a challenge to, btw!)

We’re in a race by Dell P MacTaighain

We’re in a race

Where the only substitute for winning

Is not taking part, permanently

Where climbing to the top takes

Stealing the shoes from those below

Where getting to the front

Means adopting a moral complacency

Sponsored by Corporate recklessness

Emblazoned as logos

on fashionable attire

Stitched by those without shoes

A race

That has no finishing line

We pass the baton from generation to generation

With success forever

just over the horizon

Where God possibly lives

I wrote this poem for all the idiots i have on block... enjoy (please feel free to vent)...

Everyone has a thing by Dell P MacTaighain

I love eating pigs

Some don’t

I try my best to make eating pigs more acceptable

I dress them in tartan

I explain the history of not eating pig

And why that’s no longer necessary as a rule

Take photos of them with me on the beach, both smiling

Raising margaritas

Then eat them afterwards for lunch

Not acceptable

The pitchforks and lanterns decorate my quick exit from all villages

As the influencers chase me out of town

It was just a bacon sarnie

Outdated and ignorant ideas and ideals

Will be carved in with intelligent tools

Designed and built

By people like me

On my gravestone of all ironical things

Engraved by idiots that killed me

Spouting trends and quickly forgotten and replaced

Concepts dismissed by future morons

On headstones of dead hungry geniuses

That had simple thoughts whist eating a bacon sarnie

Time ...for change by Dell P Mactaighain

I guess it takes time to understand who you are

Raised by adults who result in charlatans

Then you’re stuck amongst the herd

Shuffled by education that creates lottery winners

The lucky, The rich

Castigated cap in hand shallow breathed

But at least I’m not in a war zone

Holding a loved one’s bloody heart in my hand

Live and emotional like a lump of soap opera

On the BBC

The pizza’s late – great, discount

as the energy bill goes up

politics as lullabies

dull me into a sleep

like school did

Now I’m old and did nothing

But my children will eventually pay off the mortgage

Even the silver lining of the clouds will be bloody

Should’ve seen it all coming

I did

But I didn’t care

nobody else posts poetry but its alright, ill just post my own - here's the latest...

Dragging by Dell P MacTaighain

I once sat on a bench and ate a cheap sandwich

It was Greenwich Park, I was twenty two

the sandwich, like anything forged by cheap labour, was forgettable

A very very old man sat next to me

He told me of why women are beautiful

And why men are strong

The equality they shared, no longer

He produced photos from a fading leather wallet

Of children dead from circumstance, both lovely and tough

How could he be jealous of the dark when he was never in the light

now each breath seems like it’s dragged from my mouth under protest

Looking like a revolutionary yawn from my youth

kicking and screaming knowing today will be the same as yesterday

All I did is drag the gap

The only thing I’m good at by Dell P MacTaighain

I suck at most things

Dire at relationships

Useless at the nine to five

Can’t handle the traffic of others

I wouldn’t even have me as

a member of my own family

Terrible at world peace

A total sham at small talk

But one thing I’m expert in

I excel in it…

Being human
