Which one and why?

I used to get a paper for my late father, as he would like to read them. It was usually the Daily Express or The Sun. As for me, i don't read any papers, and try to avoid all news media channels if i can. If i have that itch that needs scratching, there are a bundle of independent content creators who offer an alternative on a very small budget.

And that's what is wrong with today's society. Everyone believes that people who disagree with certain views are evil. But this is the same dangerous ideology that eventually led to millions of deaths across the globe. From Mao to Marx, to Premier Stalin of the infamous Soviet Union.

That's the real problem with today's society. Really really ignorant people having an opinion on subjects in which they know nothing about whatsoever.

I think most of us probably enjoy a genuine debate but you just can't have a healthy grown-up debate with people who really do believe anything left of Thatcher is straying into dictator territory.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the Conservatives. But when there's no credible opposition, and we resort to calling people evil, we're not changing anything. And the thing is both sides do it. I hear Conservative or Labour voters constantly, instead of just a voter who can be won round with a rational argument and debate.

I'm proud to have conservative views, no doubt it's down to my ignorance. It comes from being poorly educated, and who do I blame for that? not myself for a start! I blame Labour, yes Labour! for closing the local grammar school that I should have gone to... but instead ended up at the local dive of a comprehensive, which was staffed by teachers that couldn't teach and pupils that didn't want to learn. But you know, does anything matter? We're only little people.

My local grammar went public fee paying after I left.

The NHS.
Affordable Housing.
Full Employment.
Pensions.
Maternity Leave.
Holiday Pay.
Sick Pay.

They have been programmed over many decades to doff their caps and get down on a bendeth knee and to be grateful for all that they took for granted for so long and of course, it will be the "lefties" who fight for a fairer society and justice for the Covid victims and their families.
