My Son for example knew nothing about prostitutes until he played GTA , so when he's older and curb crawling in his BMW is he more likely to pull out £50 and sling one across his hood ?

Or , maybe he will Tie 1 of his mates to a chair and proceed to remove their teeth with a pair of Plyers ?

I preferred him as Iron Man tbh.

Yes i agree he shouldn't be playing it and now he does not ,

Sometimes things get through ,

It's very easy for them to get these games from their friends or even download them from places like Steam etc ,

It's easy to say " Ppl don't go around ripping out ppl's spines "

And i agree but it's not about physical actions only ,

Young minds learn a lot and in a short period of time and are very impressionable in young and teenage years ,

I don't wish to control my Son but i do wish he hadn't seen some stuff he has etc , (Was his Mama's fault) lol

I recently wrote an essay on this very topic. Violence happens not just in video games and the media - it is everywhere and you just have to watch the evening news, or just the evening traffic sometimes! Children cannot hide from the world and they are so very curious about everything, sucking up information like a hoover. Eventually they are going to see something that isn't so nice and they are going to have to deal with it. How they deal with it is more to do with the influence of those closest around them. I suppose a person simply has to do their best to show a better example, a better way. There isn't an easy solution especially with the current prevalence of access to the not so nice.

Can any of you "semi oldies" honestly claim that you have never watched a porno movie and been influenced by it ? If so then why the hell are you watching them ? Don`t just blame "social media" Cinema is a big influencer too. How many of you follow the "Hunts" ? yet more blood lust . How many of you actually have any social interaction with your own children ? or is that another lesson left to teachers to teach them ?.
I think you`re over reacting on how war games online can influence the young to become violent .Why not join them to show it`s just a game for them.
