Is it any good? The movie was quite alright, just wondering how Hunter writes...
It's amazing. Movie doesn't do it justice, but also one of those books that's about a mood and the film doesn't catch it at all.

The only Hemingway novel I've read was A farewell To Arms, and I was a little disappointed with it. Was he drunk when he wrote it? because every other page mentioned alcohol, and from what I can recall, it was written in a sort of broken English style. Oh, and that doormat of a girlfriend he had... was all a tad jarring.

Hemingway's Chair - Michael Palin
I only picked this old book up because I'm a fan of the Pythonesq Palin, and Hemmingway was mentioned on this thread. It's what I'd call a comic novel, about a chap obsessed with Hemmingway and the Post Office, an odd combination. Worth a read if you ever come across it.
