What book(s) are you reading? What's your favourite book? Recommend books to others. One book I am reading is 'the book of the cosmos.'
Rogue Male by Geoffrey Household. I first came across this in a book of short stories..imagine my joy when I later found out that what i'd read was just the first chapter of a full length novel. Worth a read if you're looking for a bit of escapism and adventure.
The award winning Sunday times bestseller..... 'THIS IS GOING TO HURT' ........secret diaries of a junior doctor by Adam Kay. Its amazingly funny what goes on behind hospital doors!
Several books atm - one novel about a spy, one book on running strategies, several books on nutrition, a few cook books for inspiration. Then I have ongoing books on ebooks from novels to more running and nutrition.
I try to show tenderness or ignore you, Jude99, but as a wise man once said (I paraphrase): I do not "particularly affect simple-minded old ladies." Call this tat for all the tit you've given me.
I love a few Irvine Welsh novels such as Trainspotting, glue, porno. Any Welsh fans here, please don't read The Blade Artist (especially if you like the character Begbie) Possibly the worst book I've ever read by an author I usually love. I like the fact he writes in a Scottish dialect, sometimes you have to rack your brain to understand what's being said, That's what good writing should do.
English isn't my first language, but once I learned it I started reading the classics. I kind of love them now.
