Please delete my account. I’m unhappy with the protection of another chatter who has continually been racist, predatory and generally creepy. I tried blocking but the omnipresent arse still manages to dominate the conversation with other chatters. This is where my line is.

The problem is, ignore doesn't really mean much unless it's used by many.

You're having a nice chat with your mates and you have bo... er User X on ignore. Then he kicks off and your mates start replying to him. Now you're conversation with your mates is disrupted and they've shifted their focus to User X. He's managed to screw you over even with you not seeing him.
Mods won't help because "it's become drama" and you're just left sitting quietly waiting however long it takes to fizzle out.
Then repeat this over many days.

If everyone actually used ignore as it was intended the worst of the site would be starved of attention and the problem would solve itself.

Using ignore is only effective if both parties have the wit or intelligence to use it to save the chatroom further hassle. However as we know there are some who prefer the rucks and drama so no way would they use ignore.
