Pfft. I HATE these new Mondays. Monday used to be my favourite day at the ACTUAL chalkface. Google Classroom is my nemesis.

ok wise guy what do you want to debate?.

Well, initially I was simply asking for ANY sensible subjects but preferably something that hasn't been discussed before and not necessarily frivolous. So, I would rather leave that for you at the moment.

Oi, I'll have you know I was reasonably quiet in the forums during my time banned... I had already been released before I had fun here last night. lol:D:D:p:p
Steady on, :) no names were mentioned but they know who they are. ;) I only come on here to pass an hour and to vent my frustration, which I put down to 'night starvation'. anyway, must practise what i preach, am in danger of hijacking this thread with 'banter' and veering off-topic, so, 'nuff said.

Do any of you think that the GIANT fuss being made of people's new-found lockdown hobbies might be suggestive of the fact that perhaps some of us weren't enjoying a varied enough lifestyle before? Or do you think that we are showing great initiative in being able to entertain ourselves in new ways? Are any of you annoyed that a plethora of celebs are online and on tv showing us how to work out all of a sudden or do you think it's a great thing? (I can't say my life is much different, apart from the location of where I do my work. My hours are the same! I can take or leave the pub. I rather like not seeing some people!). I just think that maybe I am erring on the side of thinking we are showing ourselves to have been a bit in need of guidance - dare I say a little snowflakey - in needing SO much help in staying alive at the moment...

It's taken the 'nanny state' onto a whole new level. I wish people, politicians, 'experts' but mainly celebs would stop telling me what to do! Trust celebs to use a worldwide pandemic as a photo opportunity. Now, we can't even be trusted to entertain ourselves! In truth, this self-isolating business hasn't really affected my life in any great way, other than if I'm down the high street and I see an acquaintance, I can't stop and chat for fear of being moved on by the police! Some old people even before this crisis didn't see anyone from one week to the next, so i can't them being affected that much (or is that too patronising?) It's the young people I feel for, their way of life has greatly changed and will continue to do so for a very long time. Even when this is over they're the ones that are going to have to bail us out of this financial mess we'll be in.

It's a good way for the Gov't...to say...."look what i have sussed RIGHT out.."..!

There is only ONE thing this Covid-19 pandemic could have possibly come from...And that is a collaboration of Govt's worldwide...

It's a great coup...What better way to try and control people?...!

Well my coalman knows someone about 10 miles from us who has died and his wife is now on a ventilator. I don't see it as a win...

Roughly 1 in every 3600 people in the uk have died. It’s hardly surprising that many don’t know anyone who has died. Some folk will believe any conspiracy theory it seems.

Did anyone ever see where the gold old British stiff-upper lip disappeared to? Maybe it just got old a& wizened and just needs a dose of Viagra. I don't actually think most people need all this extra Nanny-State fluff that has emerged since March, though things that make you laugh are never a bad thing. No, we just need to be stoic and steadfast. And see this thing off with our dignity still in tact. Come on people of Britain, we can do this!

In times of crisis the country needs heroes, that's why the nation's gone ga ga over captain Tom who personifies the British Bulldog spirit.
