You have to go back to the days of Harold Wilson. Before the days of the London Metropolitan Labour elite. A prime minister that didn't want to wage war! Who refused point blank the requests from the U.S to sent British troops to Vietnam.

Corbyn more recently voted against the war in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, British troops in Northern Ireland etc and was subsequently demonized by the MSM and the Labour right who claimed he didn't even support his own party. More recent events in Afghanistan have since proven Corbyn was right all along.

The labour party is (and to an extent under Wilson) infested with centre right-wing liberals who could just as easily join and wouldn't be out of place in either the Tory party or the Lib Dems.

Comparing the socialist Corbyn to the soft left liberal Wilson is like comparing chalk and cheese.

Steady on! I was only putting into words a thought I had in my head about Wilson and Vietnam. I may even be wrong on that one because I also thought he was MP for Huyton (the roughest part of Liverpool). It came from a distant memory of something I'd read. I didn't expect to be eviscerated! half fact-checked to death over it. But I do appreciate you taking the time to reply and I will bear your points in mind.
Given that the post I was replying to was about the best prime minister we NEVER had, perhaps I should have named John Smith, who died suddenly and let Tony Blair in...

I’ve no idea if I’ve had Covid. I’ve never done a test. I have been around people who have tested positive so the likelihood is that I have had it, but I can’t state categorically that I have. Either way, I trust my immune system to protect me.

I don't know if I've had it either- I've never taken a test. It has so many differing symptoms and as a menopausal smoker, I'm not going to run to the doctor or for a test, every time I cough or have a spike in temperature.

No need to get arsey about it ! it was merely a question for Mr BI to establish whether or not he is immune to the Virus. It wouldn`t have led to any reverse comments from me .

Still ,that won`t bother Mr B or CCP will it ? they have natural immunity .
My G.daughter with her man were there and he went down with Covid about 5 days later . Was ill for na few days and is still feeling grotty but back at work ( he works from home ,so not too bad). G.Daughter went down with it a week later and was so weak & in pain she had to get her Mother to shop etc for them ( quite natural but Mum wouldn`t go near them both . She left shopping on the doorstep) After a wek now and G.daughter still is in some pain and can`t unblock her Nose ,which isn`t actually blocked !.so it must be swollen. After Covid is as bad as Covid.
BTW this is a true to life story and not taken from any news paper with an axe to grind.
I forgot to say :- neither of them had the Vaccine ,they both refused to. G.daughter now says she wishes she had have had the vaccine.
