Corbyn? the greatest? stop having a laugh!
You have to go back to the days of Harold Wilson. Before the days of the London Metropolitan Labour elite. A prime minister that didn't want to wage war! Who refused point blank the requests from the U.S to sent British troops to Vietnam.
James Harold Wilson, Baron Wilson of Rievaulx, KG, OBE, PC, FRS, FSS, Oxford-educated and irrespective of his Yorkshire roots, was the epitome of the London Metropolitan Labour elite. Well to do Ormskirk Wilsons first seat still is and was the Lancashire version of the Home Counties.
Corbyn more recently voted against the war in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, British troops in Northern Ireland etc and was subsequently demonized by the MSM and the Labour right who claimed he didn't even support his own party. More recent events in Afghanistan have since proven Corbyn was right all along.
The labour party is (and to an extent under Wilson) infested with centre right-wing liberals who could just as easily join and wouldn't be out of place in either the Tory party or the Lib Dems.
Comparing the socialist Corbyn to the soft left liberal Wilson is like comparing chalk and cheese.
