What scientific method are you referring to - vaccination, now?

You know, asking questions, gathering information, resources, explanations, hypothesis, testing, analysing data, interpretation, conclusions, or re-testing, repeat, then the results are published, and retested by other scientists. Repeat, retest, and so on.. etc., etc.

Simplest way of putting it.

So are you are seriously suggesting that it's Oxford University's fault for showing that the Astra vaccine might well be effective in reducing transmission and that it should not have circulated this splendid information? Rather let's not spread the good news in case stupid people who are fed a menu of lies and half truths from the internet might start to go mad and to throw street parties? Some people ARE stupid, undoubtedly, but I think you should trust the majority of British people to have enough about them to sensibly process such information. And don't forget my initial reply to your post where you stated that the news coming out today was just "rumour" (to quote your word) was meant just to correct a blatant falsehood. It isn't rumour, it is likelihood based on proper scientific research.

As the great British public have shown, too many can’t be trusted to follow the guidelines.
And like everything surrounding this subject, the scientists, the gov’t and the media use ‘likely’. ‘might’, ‘possibly’ and ‘could’ far too much. They never say anything definite and I don’t blame them when if they are found wanting, there’s no legal come-back.
The thing is however, the public don’t see the what-ifs, they take it as fact.

There you go again....you just can't help yourself can you.

Type the man...'BAD.'..not some script you keep relying on.

And I despair of those those who blindly believe conspiracies don’t happen.

So, using the Conspiracy Theory method.

What was your question?

How did you gather information?

Which resources did you use?

Explanations, clarification etc?

What is you hypothesis?

How did you test your hypothesis?

Where is your analysed data?

What was your interpretation?

Your conclusions?

Did you need to retest?

Or repeat the above?

Where were your results published?

Who tested them?

What was their conclusion?

Did you need to repeat?

Repeat, retest, and so on.. etc., etc.?

(I don't expect anything)

I'm going to lie down now. Later, take in some chatroom banter and play with my online friends.

Conspiracy theorists are hard work.

I hope you are proud!

May even sob into my pillow for half an hour, later.

I'm not broken though! No sir.

Any honest doctor will tell you - Medicine is not 100% reliable.

There will always be a perecentage on which it won't work.

Maybe one day - who knows - I doubt we'll be here to witness it, though.

No one has mentioned anything about 100%.

Empirical knowledge. Scientific experimentation and verifiable.

They don't just say 'This is it/the way/correct.'

This is how they and we learn.

How we advance our knowledge.

My conclusion is that you are easily lied to. Maybe because you’re more comfortable with that and that’s ok. If you’re happy ignoring even the possibility that you get lied to by govt, the media, and big business then I’m sure you are totally blissful.

*waves a hand*

Can I just say, that natural herd immunity has never happened on any illness, disease, virus, pot noodle eating belly, etc., etc,

in the whole lifetime of the human race.

Not once.

Scientifically, that is.

Maybe in the Age of Conspiracy Theorists somewhere, somehow, some, some, some.... twat rubbing a jade egg up their twat... on never mind, that's utter bloody guff too.

Natural Herd Immunity? Never has worked. Never will work. It doesn't work.

The End.
I DO wish you'd be more unequivocal Whales. :)

I replied to another comment, not a 'step back' comment. Was my comment about your comment taken as being about a different comment?

Hope you don't mind me making a comment about a comment on a comment.
I have no comment on anyone making a comment about a comment on a comment, even if it's a commendable comment

You are fvcking kidding me, right? Considering the amount of replies you have made, to (my) posts/profile where I have slated and shown my distrust of the government (liars), media (liars), and business (money grabbing liars), I find this reply of yours beyond hilarious and very telling. Do you read the posts you reply to? Maybe just the first line, huh?

In an ideal and just world that would happen.

Same goes for Meritocracy in the workplace.

Sadly, we don't live in an ideal world.

Ideal world? Where did that come from? What are you on about?

This is how scientific development happens in the real world. Right now.

And I haven't, as yet, mentioned (pandemic aside) how long it takes to get grant funding, or product development from start to finish.

I'm not sitting here, rubbing two crystals together going ohmmm and hoping to cure cancer (humans are affected by over 100 different types) or coronavirus by hugging a fvcking tree, drinking turmeric tea or sticking needles into an earlobe.

I know lol. I was just hoping to open up an avenue of 'simple' understanding. A way out of the conspiracy mire and a helping hand out of the tinfoil cult. Empathy in knowledge, to pass on truth and a way to ask questions, to find the truth, a desire to learn. As I was taught.

My own fault, I shouldn't allow myself to be sucked into conversations with conspiracy theorists, those who haven't got...... blah, blah, blah. Know what I mean?

Anyway, head partying with a wall, takes place quite a lot.
