Nobody coerces the Queen. She made the decision to allow Andrew to escort her. End of. He's her son and she loves him and she made a stand against the hair shirt brigade howling for perpetual blood.

I think Diana was as bad as HRH Cwith regard to "flings"
She was unwanted and unloved. It's entirely probable that if her husband had not been carrying on with another woman from the start of their marriage, Diana would have never had a 'fling' with anyone.

In the past a royal wife (and many ordinary wives too) would have put up and shut up, no doubt that suited many men back in the dark ages.

I agree. There has been mentions that Andrew escorting her was a last minute decision, both Charles and William were uneasy about it.
I doubt whether the public will change their minds about Andrew, but to me, it shows the queen is still a strong and feisty lady, and as a mother, she has been publicly seen to stand by her son.

In my opinion that`s rubbish propeganda spread by Diana because she expected a lot more .She took the limelight quite happily ,same as Harrrie wife is doing now . They both got what they wanted ,a Prince for a Husband and all that comes with it .
I don`t think Charles should have been pushed into marrying a very young and immature young girl as he almost certainly was .

Propaganda?
It's been documented a million times that Charles was always in love with another woman, was always unfaithful with another woman, even invited her to his wedding and also took her personal gifts on his honeymoon.
The brazen affair continued throughout his marriage to Princess Diana.
She was a young girl, who did exactly what she was there to do, (albeit unknowingly)...which was to provide a heir and a spare, then allow her faithless husband to carry on with his philandering, untroubled.

There is no comparison between Diana and Meghan....Diana was already dead at the same age Meghan first came on the scene.
One was an innocent, malleable young girl who believed she was loved, one is a pampered manipulative woman who had her future well planned out to her own advantage.

Hahahaa ,what a load of old COBBLERS ! Dianna knew exactly what she was going into .She wasn`t an ignorant ,innocent ,blind sweet little girl who had no idea about Charles "shortcomings ". I bet most of the "IN" set knew all about Charles & Camilla long before he married Dianna.

You`ll be saying next that Camilla`s husband had no idea that she was knocking off Charles for years ! hahahha it`s a comedy act :).

Interesting that she didn't allow Charles to accompany her. I think Charles life has forever been affected, by the lack of affection from the Queen. Charles had the misfortune to be at his most needy and vulnerable, when the Queen ascended the thone. All those tours, and other numerous duties, he was probably raised by various nannies.
I don't particularly like Charles, but maybe some of his behaviour is understandable.

I think you are dead right.
I saw an old newsreel once. The young queen was returning from a long tour. Charles and Anne were at the railway station to welcome their mother home. Obviously it was a planned photo opportunity.
Charles was about six I think, he was urged forwards and almost shook hands with a lady in waiting, it was like he didn't even know who his mother was.

He WAS raised by nannnies ! did`nt you know ?. In fact if you read the story of his young life he had one favourite nanny who he adored and in that way the Queen did right .

How clever of you to figure that out !
Charles had one mistress all his life . Dianna had several "flings" through her marriage to Charles . She knew well that he had a mistress but she wanted the Title of Princess so ignored his single shortcoming .
If she`d have been wearing a seat belt she might still be alive . Or are you following the Pandemic Conspiracy theory about her ?? hahahaha .

You make excuses for men and blame women, it's an ongoing theme with you....pathetic.

Just add a few more hahaha's to your posts, it's about the only level of conversation you can cope with.
