I find F1 very repetitive, too sanitized etc etc ,used to watch indycar a lot but for me MOTOGP is where the action is, less politics and the riders are not robots like the F1 lot.
Im a biker myself so am fully aware of the danger of the sport .

Erm ,

Believe you me the Political wars inside Moto Gp are very real.

Ducati and HRC Honda spend more time in court than they do at the track!!

There is lots of action , obviously they race on tracks like the F1 lot but Motorbikes are not as wide,

Nobody is even close to Marquez , this guy is incredible , he'd win on any bike.

Ok F1 ...... after the start nothing happens.

And i mean nothing.

Hamilton's car is way way better than anyone else's ....

A line of expensive cars following each other lol unable to overtake because of disturbed air created by the Aero from the ridiculous Aeroplane wings.

How boring.

A 'WORKING MAN' would not be able to post this stuff at that time.

On my mom's side of family there are 3 brothers that all rode cycles or rather diet bikes. They each had a diff type. They raced and I still to this day love the sounds ! Kawasaki, Honda Ducati. They had loads of dirt bike friends . The would race one at a time in the clay pit and see who could go the farthest up the steep hill. Love it!

Tony "smoke" Stewart now owns Stewart Hass Raciing ,Tony won an Indy car title before his 3 Nascar titles , He is the only man to go from single seater open wheel racecar's to Stock Cars and win Titles in both ,

Juan Pablo Montoya attempted a swap from F1 to Nascar but only managed 1 win in 3 years,

Nigel Mansell did go from F1 to Indycar and was a World champion at both.

Tony Smoke Stewart is the most complete racer i have ever known.

I met him in Michigan in 2014.

Oh i forgot Fernando Alonso is still attempting to do the Triple Crown ,

This is an F1 win @ Monaco (check)
Rolex Dayotna win (check)
Indy 500 win (Fail)

I think he will get 1 more attempt at the Indy 500 but i do not think Fernando has the ability to win that race sadly. (oval racing doesn't come overnight , People think it's easy , oh they just turn left, "It isn't")

So yesterday was the 104th running of the Indy 500 ,

As i was saying about the new cockpit covers i believe it saved Spencer Pigot from serious injury as his car crashes into the end of the pit-lane wall,

I wonder what was going through his mind as his car shot back across the track....

This is why the Cockpit cover was introduced ,

It may have saved Dan Wheldan.

I take your point, Those cockpit covers may well have saved Ayrton Senna's life. The Halo covers in F1, maybe not. . . . .

I fully agree with your statement ,

I think the Halo was a direct result of Jules Bianchis tragic death when he veered off track in the wet under "Virtual Safety car" conditions and his car went underneath the JCB that was removing another car from the line of fire , he suffered a massive head trauma ,

Flying debris is a real issue in oval racing making the Nascar Stockcars super safe ,

I'm glad Indycar have taken the lead to protect the drivers in the cockpit :)
