Why people stop logging on...

Some people have been asking to have their accounts deleted, well that's fair enough, if they want to leave it's their internet. Then there's the people who ask to be deleted who then stay. But it's the people who just stop logging onto the site that interest me, what's the story behind their disappearance? It often remains a mystery. I'll never leave this site of my own accord. When i start something, I see it through to the very end, it's a form of OCD. So if I ever do stop posting on the forum it will most likely be for one of the following...

I'm in prison (not 'for kids'!)
On a visit to Israel I've been taken hostage and my internet privileges have been removed.
I've simply passed away.

Feel free to add any other possible reasons for regs vanishing... But please, no 'abducted by aliens' nonsense, thank you!

The ads have been reported to the site owner who will be dealing with it. We have no control over the ad content on the site.

I log in here when i have the time. I work long hours and my 'Spare Time' is valuable. I can't log in and post here on a daily basis.

Not all absentees are like me though...Some just disappear.. Forever..! (Into the either..)

I like this Site and some of the members here... I log on when I can.

There are no plebs on this site. We're all lovely, beautiful people. None of us are sad, lonely keyboard warriors because we all lead full and varied lives.

I stopped using the chat rooms a few years ago so I can't comment on what ads get get shown there. The only ads I come across are the ones when I first log onto the forum. As admin have pointed out, they're easily clicked off without having to view them, but me being me, I have clicked on them to see what it's all about. Some of them are just naked women which is no big deal. But yes, others are pretty gross, I can well understand those images being a reason for people wanting nothing further to do with this site.

I'm not really interested in the fly-by-nighters or Johnny-come latelys. It's the long standing regs who just stop logging on without giving any notice that interest me. Wojcik... Dong... Poco-loco etc and a good few others that I can't think of offhand.

Why would someone 'Give Notice' that they don't want to post anymore?

I've since heard that one reg started a new business selling personalised 'work-from-home' pajamas. And another one got a job at a can-crushing plant. The pay's good, the work's easy, but it's soda-pressing.
