The band, which got together in the early 1960s, consisted of brothers Joe and Eddie Ankrah Nat Smeda, Alan Harding,and Eddie Amoo, later of The Real Thing.Joe Ankrah and The Chants were very influential and influenced and worked with the Beatles; they also supported Ramon Sugar Deen, Derry Wilkie and Little Richard in the 1960s.
