They never will, people hide behind it, it gives them a good reason (excuse) to act like barbarians. When are people going to wake up to religion. That man made crock of sh** that people slavishly follow even if it causes war and bloodshed.
Amen to thatThey never will, people hide behind it, it gives them a good reason (excuse) to act like barbarians.
That sounds like a new religionThey've opened an Atheist Centre where I live.
They were doing an 'open day' a couple of weeks ago.
They put a big sign up outside which read ' Debaptism available'.
Wonder what that involves and if it's even possible?
As far as I know, once you're baptised it can't be undone![]()
Funny that, obviously their problem is with Christianity onlyExactly.
But they claim to be atheists lol
I am really curious about the answer! No idea - It would be interesting to ask them.
Maybe one day I'll pop in and ask them (if they are ever open).
Each time I've passed by they're always closed.
The only time I saw them open was on the 'Open Day'.
There's a phone number on the window in order to contact them, though.
Lol and then start to de-preachI'll get you the number if you wish, so that you can call them![]()
It's a very long argument.
The short answer is:
A free society will never exist - Your freedom ends where the next person's freedom begins.
I could say the same about almost anywhere where there are gatherings and people who hold different views, including chatrooms/ forums.
Some get away with murder, other's don't.
Is it political?
I'll let you decide.
Change 'voters' to 'chatters'.
Sounds like an utopia...unfortunately it doesn't exist. There are too many boundaries everywhere around us.I'm talking about freedom in general - as in, to do as you wish, when you wish, where you wish.

I totally agree, by boundaries I haven't meant laws. That would be an anarchy. But there are unwritten laws and norms , most of them excising because of prejudices, society specifics etc.Not at all.
The Freedom of speech for example comes with the caviat to "Use it wisely".
Most people forget that.
All actions should be permitted unless prevented by law.
Thats where UK law differs from EU Law.
In the EU and most other places in the world your rights are given.
In the UK you have all the rights, it's up to the individual to use them wisely.
Law is there to uphold basic tenents, to control major social problems.
If people, who automatically know right from wrong in thier own actions, actually controlled themselves, we would not need laws.
So no, the only boundries that should exist are in the individuals own moral worth.
Thats is the UK's constitutional basis.
Which is getting torn apart by every government since Blair with more and more regulation.
Why, because morality is heading down the toilet.
