What I am finding hard to work out...inflation is said to be under 10%....horrendous in itself.
So how come the overall cost of living over the last few months is a damn site more?

Because the Bank of England keeps creating money out of thin air.

And big business, retailers, oil and gas companies etc, are using the real world crises, to hike their prices more than needed?

Of course.

Even the Roe vs Wade law change, we have companies like google saying they will pay for women to go across state for abortaions.

Oh how noble of them.

No it just means they dont have to pay maternity leave for employees having babies.

It's win/win.

Its always about the money.

Prices have not risen so rapidly since the 1970's.
Food, petrol, energy, home improvements,....everything is soaring drastically.
Eg, fish and chips, used to be cheap and cheerful, it's now a luxury meal for many. Going to the chippy for a fish and chip tea or supper can cost an average family of four £30 plus.
Energy prices have doubled...and filling a car up, has gone up 40% since a few months ago...AND E5 petrol is doing less per gallon than it used to....in spite of initial announcements it did more to the gallon than what we used before.

We should a taken advantage of the Mask wearing covid Era, organised a meet through social media and then went on to do a mass Bank Robbery with the slogan "we're takin it back. we're takin it all back" That would a made it slightly more bearable.
