As the parent of a child who has been on the council house waiting list for over 2 years, I'd like to ask the Archbishop of Canterbury who preaches that as Christians we should allow ALL migrants entry to the UK - What do I say to my child when she is pushed further down the waiting list? Because all these
people will have to be rehoused, and most of them are shipped up here to the north. I bet few end up in the shires down south...
Should the church stick to religion? Feel free to spout off....

I think the church should get it's own house in order and leave politics out of it.
Yes we should obviously take in some migrants, but not at the expense of our own people, and contrary to what some would have us believe, there are many people who were born and bred here who have very little.
They may not be fighting for their lives, but they are fighting for a life better than what many suffered in the 40's and 50's.

I really feel for your daughter, and many like her. For many it's impossible to buy, private renting is expensive with nothing to show at the end of it, and not everyone has family to rely on.

Will the church help them out?? I doubt it.

And it's so true that the poorer areas in the country end up with a constant stream of immigration, where schools, NHS services, housing etc is allready pushed to the limits, whilst the more affluent areas stay exclusive to them.

All forms of Religion should be banned.

All of it.!

Especially when tough to Children from the age of 4.

What about Colonisation and the rest of history?

We were illegal immigrants in their countries, too, and we took everything we could get our hands on.
So many seem to forget that.


When you exploit others, expect it back sooner or later.
We can't just look at what's happening here and today and ignore the past.
The past creates the present as the present creates the future.

We were invaders, not immigrants.

We took from them because they were not strong enough to stop us.

Just like every nation through history, the spoils go to the strong.

Just as we were invaded many times, the cyclic rise and fall of nations is as certain as the rising and falling of the sun and the moon.

Our problem now is that we are destroying our own cultures from within, re-writing our own histories and self flagellating over a history we can do nothing about.

All because a minority want to tear down the fabric of our society and make it in thier image.

The religion of today bears little resemblence to the ones of old, they are "Woke"

Why else would there be such an outcry because Elon Musk might buy Twitter, the new progressives bible.

True. So why do people not just accept what's happening in this cycle instead of complaining?

But I'm not Woke, I'm merely objective enough to see the rights and wrongs on each side, unlike other people.

That surely depends on whether one is rationally objective or morally objective.

The two are very different and change over time.

Rational objectivity is based on knowledge over time.
Moral objectivity is based on opinion over time.

The two are oftentimes mutually exclusive.

How we judge the past, how we examine our failings of both are always subject to debate no matter how enlightened we think we have become.
Colonialism for example brought great benefit to some, hardship to others, mainly in the countries which were colonised.
It also allowed the colonisers to make great leaps technologically, medically, ethically and economically which then passed down to those we colonised.

If there were no colonialism, there would be no industrial revolution and all the benefits that brought world wide.
Even though those in the colonies suffered at the time, life was made better for the generations after them.

Although, rational objectivity also see's that Africa as a whole has not benefitted from colonisation as much as many other countries have.
Why is that?

Could it be because of the harshness of the enviroment for finding and extracting natural resources?
Perhaps the ability to "Buy" political capital in the short term, but the lack of long term investment as thier governments are inherently unstable?

These are complicated questions which require much more analysis than simply "We stole their (Insert here, land, people, minerals etc)"

Do we follow a socialist agenda of moral obligation where the worlds resources are divided amongst us all equally to do with as we see fit, thereby stunting inovation and rewarding mediocrity?
Or a capitalist one where we follow a rational obligation to reward those who give more to society through increased availability of resources to expand human knowledge and comfort?

Moral and rational objectivity have to find a line between them which does the most good to the highest number, not just now, but in the future.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is a fine sentiment but is to simplistic, to only preduce what is needed at that time.
Needs change over time, they are mutable, constantly looking to the future.
Simply reverse the statement:-
"From each according to his needs, to each according to his abilities" attempts to satisfy the needs of the many by rewarding more to the few who excel.
By allowing those who excel the resources they need, one inovates technological advances far beyond those of simple subsistance, thereby inovating for the future.

A simple thought experiment.
Could we solve the global warming issue by simply turning off our phones, our computers, walking instead of driving, or using public transport?
Could we demonstrate in such massive numbers to solve poverty, wars, or hunger in the world?
Could we pressure our governments to do more to solve all the worlds problems now?

We could, but we dont.
Why?
Because we like life the way it is and dont want to sacrifice what we have.

I could talk for hours about the plight of the Yemeni people who are still under a constant bombing from Saudi Arabian aggression.
Do we hear about it, no because it keeps jobs in the UK armaments industry.
I could show you the stats for the amount of people who may starve in Africa if Ukraine does not offer peace terms and resume thier wheat exports.
Do we hear about it, no because we have to follow America geo-politically and fight to the last Ukrainian "COS RUSSIA BAD".
I could find the stats on yield shortages American farmers will suffer if they cant get fertilizer from Russia.
Do we hear about that, food shortages because they cant grow wheat, might cause a panic.
Or how NiCad batteries will be a shortage very soon as Russia has 55% of the worlds exports of Nickel.
Is that discussed in the media, how that will effect supply chains for masses of electronic devices we take for granted.

So in reality, we can sit here and wax eloquently about the woes of the world and its history.

We can listen to the priests, the bishops, the celebrities who are a religiosity all there own and the "Wise" who know nothing about the real world.
They are all simply parties, organisations or persons who want to remain relevent by spouting the current political BS as truth.

Thats moral objectivity and I have little time for it.

Sorry to ask but is your daughter in fear of her life if she can`t get a place?.
Moving on ,i just read that many of the immigrants are going back to their own countries because they are being treated like slaves on British farms ! If true then it`s appaling .

Were the dinghy folk, mainly young men who have abandoned their wives and children, in fear of their lives in France? Or in any of the other countries they have passed through to get to a French beach? I wasn’t aware that France was a war zone.

This is what i read ,i never claimed it was true but it could be knowing the greed in our society :-

I don`t write the News oh Mighty One ,i just read it on the NET and then i can`t be arsed to read it all . I just posted a small cutting from the article .What i think about it ,if true ,is irrelevant as far as this Government cares .

Read what i posted and you might note that the Refugees as mentioned are from Ukraine !! is that some sort of Dingy ?.
