there should be regional rooms so people can talk about local issues. Porthmadog sounds an awful place but is charming.

The 'Actual' grave of 'Robin Hood' is no where near Nottingham...And Little John is buried in Hathersage.. just out side of Sheffield.

This thread has attracted very few responses for obvious reasons.

    1. It's not actually about 'Robin Hood Country' at all.
    2. There was NO need to make a Disney reference as it is NOT American' history. That doesn't exist yet. Disney thrived on romantic fiction.
    3. Various counties claim that Robin Hood was active in places other than Nottingham. Not least Yorkshire, where there is speculated evidence that he died, namely in the vicinity of Kirklees Priory.

I am disappointed, however, that England's greatest (legendary) hero does not get the acclamation he deserves.
I strongly suspect moves would be made to remove ANY statue of Robin Hood these days because he was 'an outlaw'.
    This country!!!
