Go n-éirí an bóthar leat,
Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl,
Go lonraí an ghrian go te ar d’aghaidh,
Go dtite an bháisteach go mín ar do phairceanna,
Agus go mbuailimid le chéile arís,
Go gcoinní dia i mbos a láimhe thú.

More a blessing than a poem but so beautiful. May your road rise up to greet you.

The forest creaks and sinks into the mire
A mush of leaves and muck upon the earth
And yet it sets within my soul a fire
A bird foretelling death before rebirth
The rain it drums the leaves a heavy beat
A toll that quiets the mind with every thud
I stand amid the mulch with naked feet
And charge myself connected with the mud
The moss it breathes my toes will intertwine
My fingers grip the stones until they bleed
My blood it runs not red but green with pine
My marrow flows with sap - my amber creed
The mist it hugs my skin and steams my breath
The sun then heats my arms and legs alive
And all around me: Death
And yet I stand here; and I thrive.
