Takes awhile. Not fake. Many are friendly and lovely folks. Some caution as not sure if u male or female and what u looking for. Some comfortable chatting up with their usual friends. So be patient and kind

Really sorry for your loss, it must be an extremely difficult time for you. Facebook is a good place to keep his memory alive as people there will have known him. This is a good place for an escape, but just trust those you already know x

It is hard to know tbh, but suppose some like the anonymity of it all, as they can chat and say whatever and it’s not real life etc. But yes making friends and connections can be difficult and some online can be wary, good luck though some are lovely
