Don't think Charles should be king it should go straight to William & Kate

It's not how the line of succession works, though I'm sure it would be the popular choice.

If you were a member of her family, would you try and persuade her to retire?
She is a 30 plus years past retirement age, seems to be having health problems lately, yet still seems to carry out more official duties than most of younger royals.

I suspect it's the only thing keeping her going. If she retires, she'll die.

Maybe, it's been her life since she was a very young woman.
But her mum lived to be 100....she obviously has good genes.

"Queen Elizabeth II has cancelled her planned engagement at the U.N. climate conference, accepting doctors' advice to rest, Buckingham Palace said today."

Seems at last, after her recent hospital stay, and the news she will now become tea total, the queen really is winding down.

Hopfully she will be well enough to enjoy her platinum jubilee next year.
