They had a good business model that was working for them. "Hobby sites" like this one always do well.

Reading the feed back on why people are leaving seems to come down to porn pop up's. Sites aren't free to run and costs need to be covered and I feel this is the reason for them.

But is this the way to do it?

You mite be right, a few of them are the same people, but I also look at the sign up date and one or two go back years. Others are/were regularly contributing to the forums.

Without naming names, people haven't posted a sausage since the pop up's started. They can be frustrating.

I haven't been posting simply because I have other things going on and sweet FA to do with the ads.

You are extremely upset here DOA, irrationally so, for something that happened a few weeks ago.

I don't get pop-up ads I use a Firefox ad blocker (on all sites) and I click the BIG red x to instantly remove the page that occasionally does pop up when I click on this site.

As you claim to be a multi-millionaire, with a £4,000,000 Brighton town house (thanks rightmove) and the largest plumbing business in the SE, why don't you set up your own site and employ Mods and Admin to run it and show them how it's done?

Because there are those who do and those who have and those who just moan, and moan, and moan some more.
