It is isn’t it. But you have to apply for it. And you can receive 25% as a lump sum payment Tax free and you can also get a levelling out payment that will bring you closer to your state pension amount, This would be paid until you reach state pension age then reduce.
No state pension till 66 now and it goes up and up eg: born 1956 = 66yo
1957 = 66yo
1958 = 67yo and so on.

It’s usually when a person starts to collect state pension now but they can collect a privat pension from the age of 50 but they’ll loose possibly 40%of the total pension pot.
I waited till I was 60 got bigger pot pay out

Whilst I tend to agree with you in the main, however, Cancer of the Colon is suffered by both Men and Women, perhaps you meant Prostate Cancer?. This I know from personal experience, thankfully both recovered as it was caught in time. However, I feel that there is no equality in the reasoning for Men and Women to retire at the same age 66/67 as Men tend to be in better paid jobs, but that is my personal opinion. :)

Many Thanks Jen.. I did indeed mean Prostate Cancer lol..
Was a long night before I posted that :)
