David Amis, a well known Christian, was butchered to death. He was stabbed 17 times by a Jihadi(Islamic Militant). Jihad means Holy War.

President Bush talking at the time of the Iraq war said "It's a crusade". The word 'crusade' is very incendiary to Jihadi wannabes. I wonder how many were recruited to the 'Holy War' because of those words? Sometimes, we should watch what we say, who knows who will take offence

Lets be honest, anyone who studies the "accepted" military history or geopolitics can trace the hatred of the USA and the UK back to Skyes-Picot.
Then the Balfour declaration ratified by the League of Nations then later the statements made in San Remo.
It's why the USA is the "Great Satan" and the UK the "Lesser Satan" (although that flip flops), as the US stood by and watched as the European Imperial powers carved up the Middle East for thier own gain.

Religous history goes back even further than that.

The problem with all these narratives are they are taken out of context.
Not going to go into it, it's far to complex a subject for a chat forum lol.
Theres a lot of propaganda on both sides, but historically its a very different story from the accepted narrative.

Deals were made on both sides, for either geopolitical or personal gain, people tend to look at "one side good the other bad", in this case there was both good and bad on both sides.
