I've managed to sort it. Very strange that it only seemed to have an effect on joining this chat, but had a look on my talktalk account, did a line check, and seemed there was a fault with router. Suggested powering off for 20 mins, apparently this gives enough time to timeout the broadband. Voila, fixed.
