Regional Chat Simplified

We've decided to reduce some of the less-populated regional chats down to fewer rooms. England's regions are combined into one, plus London. Individual countries -- Scotland, Wales, Ireland -- keep their individual rooms. We've done this to serve population-balancing, convenience, and ease-of-moderating, all while helping you to chat with more people near you.

• We reasoned that some users might feel compelled, in order to keep track of goings-on in chat, to be in more rooms than they might want to be in, so we are consolidating activity. Chat should be fun, not work.
• We wanted moderators to have an easier time keeping track of things in order to help keep you and the site safe.
• We wanted to reduce the amount of web site and in-chat room list scrolling required to find chat rooms you are interested in.

If you used any of the smaller English regional rooms, you can just be English now. Congratulations: The United Kingdom is united once more!
