Google needs permissions to enter the rooms, or it loops. I don't know if you're blocking scripts, but it's the google.com script that if blocked, causes loops like that. If it's not that, I am unsure what else it is. But I block the porn by avoiding scripts, and I have to give Google the go-ahead too.

If anyone is still having log in problems, sign right out of chat, including the Forum, clear your cookies/cache, restart your device and try again.

Close all the windows.
Clear cookies and history.

In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns.

Flushing DNS ensures your computer uses the most current IP addresses for websites.
Then type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.

This resets your IP address.
Then reboot.

Have you showed chat your new imaginary "kayak" yet?

It worked for me of course, I am computer-literate, unlike you. :)

Hmmmm.... Kev

If you was "computer-literate", you would have run a test on the site like me........ you didn't:D

The site was working fine last night, people could log in on the forums. They did too and then moaned.

So what the the issue?

It was a scripting error or looked like one to me.

Symptoms:

A general "Script error" message in the browser's console.

The webpage might become unresponsive or fail to load certain elements.

Interrupted functionality or unexpected behavior on the page.

Script Errors can be frustrating and difficult to solve, but adding the "crossorigin" attribute to HTML script tags and setting the CORS HTTP header is a potential solution to help you fix this issue

No matter what you did with your own computer or phone, it wont make any difference. Its the site not the device.

Yeah, I recall you claiming to be a super hacker on the old site.

Because you spammed "shut up" 2894856838282 times.

My computer is fine, btw, I know how to follow very simple instruction.

Don't work yourself into such a lather auld boy, happy 63rd by the way, because when you do you always end up banned. :)

I need to expand on this a bit more for Kev...........cos he only works the till in his mums shop:rolleyes:

When you first start building a web site, you use ms edge.
Sometimes that wont work in goggle, fire fox or many other browser.
You need to go back to drawing board and more code to allow for them...... then you find this messes up ms edge
So you start again and go back thru the code

It just takes one line in the wrong place to mess up the whole site
Adding code for the pop up's dont help too.

Yes DOA, I work in my mums shop, and you don't work at all.

Posting Googled pics of "kayaks" isn't work.

You also don't need to explain anything at all, DOA.

It worked for me.

Now if your Googled logic was correct, which it isn't, everyone would be locked out of chat, and they are not. :)

Look at the evidence Kev

People could access the main site
The pop up's were working and driving people mad
Only when they tried to access chat, the site failed.

Its down to the "script"
The chat elements failed

The chat program is separate to the forum. After the site when register members only, they linked the two. You have to sign in using the forums to use chat. This link was broken last night and that's why people were return to the main forum page.

Now the only time I've seen the site do that is:

When you have a ban
When you use a VPN

I have a feeling a scripting error was identifying some ip address as VPN's. People have moan about this before on the site. And this would explain why some people could access the chat while others couldn't.

Your Googled "evidence" (guesses) means nothing, DOA.

I am sure the site developer, which you are not, will get to the bottom of it soon enough and probably has already.

Stick to posting Googled images of "kayaks" and leave the technical stuff to the actual expert. :)

I think the site developer knows far more than me. He/she wrote the code

But......

I read the complaints on here
I know the site blocked ip address for a long time from some mobile phone company's
I know they blocked some users from ever coming back.
I know they have a program that rejects some vpn's........ but not all ;)

Its a lot of code and more fragile than Kev's ego
