Let's first start by getting over the mantra of 'stopping illegal workers from working in the UK' anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows this isn't going to 'stop the boats' or stop illegal working all it's going to do is drive those people deeper into the dark economy. All it's for is control, have you heard Starmer's latest 'YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR OWN MONEY AND MAKE PAYMENTS SO MUCH MORE QUICKLY, EASILY THAN YOU CAN WITH OTHERS' I thought that's what a bank card did, or a bank app or just walking into your bank... They're coming after your money! that's outrageous. who knows where this will stop if it is allowed to get through do we really want to live like China like India like South Korea this rotten idea MUST be stopped before it goes way too far.

if u a;ready use digital banking they got you . use a doctors app they got you . you use ur phone for mpst they got you.

No to digital I.D's but I'm old school, I wouldn't mind carrying an Identity Card. If you've nothing to hide...

The government as normal failed to deliver the idea , their neurological application again being mediocre minded . If they said anybody who wants some free digital ID please apply , people would be lining up .
There is still many people who can't even get bank accounts etc because they have no ID .

Absolutely not. I have nothing to hide, but I resent the invasion of privacy. Plus I think there is more to it than proving your identity. I wouldn't trust this government as far as I could throw them.
