I can't speak for the decline in the rooms because it's a good few years since I frequented them, but it's certainly been reflected in the forum. There's a definite lack of debates, discussions, sharing of information and ideas etc. Now I'm not one to talk in cliches, but all's well that ends well. So ask not what your chat site can do for you, but what you can do for your chat site. Use it or lose it!

Incorrect. You can PM/DM another chatter whilst in a chat room and you can send a private message to another chatter on this Forum page.

Honestly, I think people are either finding the engagement level slow against other forums, too many fake accounts or moving to the adult boards which is just as bad. DM seems to be the only place to make a connection now.
