Also I was fortunate to have known my grand father who was an allied pilot flying Hurricanes.Historians back up the fact that Polish allied pilots shot down more enemy aircraft than the RAF. The then chief of staff made comment to churchill, and it is documented, We could not have done it with out them. See the film. , Hurricane.

I’m in no way questioning or demeaning their contribution, there can be no doubt it was intrinsic to the victory in the sky. All I meant was it is impossible to state we WOULDN’T have won without them. Maybe others would have taken their place.
Predictions are hard enough when you know all the parameters, nigh on impossible when there are so many variables.
