I like Valentine's Day, I think it has it's place, new relationships blossom, and as we all know, life gets busy, I think it helps refocus slightly on our partner, treat each other a little, and remember why we fell in love.

No need for all the hate, we don't have to go crazy, a simple card and a box of chocolates/flowers, £10 to show your appreciation of your loved one.

when i'm in a relationship i tell her what i feel EVERY SINGLE DAY why wait for one day a year to say what you feel?
It's an excuse to get money out of consumers

Yes but your relationship goes through everyday sh** and pressures .....

Why is it wrong to have a special day that's just for that ,

I fail to see any bad in this , it does NOT have to be about spending money !!

Of course you should tell them every day how you feel, it's still nice to celebrate love though isn't it, but then I am a hopeless romantic

My husband and I aren't romantic, just not us, but our marriage has survived for over 50 years, we haven't murdered each other yet.:D

I've had an early valentine from a stranger, someone with an obvious ear fetish!

Your ears one on each side like a dainty cup
so gently they hold thine sunglasses up.
So round and nice with a subtle ridge
there's no bone in there it's cartilage.

We're a bit silly and romantic. We haven't even had a proper argument... I like to mark the day specially, though every day is special, really. I still look forward to getting home from work to see my man; we make time to go out / stay in and have special times or food or experiences. This last week, we have tried NOT to spoil ourselves and each other so that we can be all naff and tacky on Valentine's day so that when he takes me out for a meal after work on Friday, it feels more special! Pointless and daft? Maybe, but I appreciate his acknowledgement and effort. Commercialised claptrap? Yes, probably that too but I'm not concerned. I'm boosting the economy! :D
