The virus is nothing more than the flu now, as all the figures demonstrate, and should be treated as such.

The virtue signaling here is hilariously off the scale.

The irony of this plum.

After months of denying Covid-19 is a thing. Thousands of posts saying so. Has no fukcing idea that there are multiple reasons why cancer sufferers might not be vaccinated nor how the "flu" could snatch their lives away and he has typed thousands more posts denying Covid-19 was responsible.

Who calls everyone who wears a mask to protect the vulnerable a "face nappy wearer".

Fukcing weirdo.

Why would he give a "haha" to that comment?

Just why?

This creepy OLD bastard demands he should be able to go about his business unhindered, while Omicron is still a thing, while Covid-19 is still a thing, while people with a serious disease lock themselves away to protect themselves from people like him.

I've been told it is something that elderly gammons across certain extreme right wing social media sites do because they believe it annoys younger females.

He is embarrassed, feels threatened and insecure.

You have triggered him for many weeks.

Well done!!

Boasted he has never had the vaccine. What sort of person goes around boasting and gloating about issues like that.

Boasted he doesn't wear a "face nappy". Normal people don't boast and gloat about not wearing a mask.

They don't wander around Asda maskless telling staff "I am not scared of Covid-19 dontcha know".

It isn't even that though...

Before he got unceremoniously got sacked he claimed he works in the care sector, with extremely vulnerable people, who will have a lower immune system, who will have serious health issues including cancer.

The guy just creeps me out.

And again another thread ruined.

You are like a little kid grassing his mates up.

Christopher, you have ruined 1,000s of threads in your time and those that need to know, know it.

You tone deaf clown.

No emotional intelligence at all.

If people choose to wear a mask that is rightly their choice, if it masks them feel safer I see no harm in that. My problem comes when people expect everyone to succumb to their fear. I get that the vulnerable should be protected, but first they need to be doing everything possible to protect themselves. If they want kids to be masked in schools, on public transport, etc I’m afraid they’ve got a harsh lesson coming. We should protect the vulnerable to a point, not hold society in fear in doing so. The virus is nothing more than the flu now, as all the figures demonstrate, and should be treated as such.
The fearmongering of people who say ‘what if there’s another variant’ is purely that, fearmongering. We can’t live constantly being scared of something that may well not happen or humanity may as well lead isolated lives, hiding behind a mask, our kids and grandkids growing up thinking that they are a risk to everyone around them. I don’t want a ‘new’ normal, I want future generations to have an immune system they trust, one that protects them from most things. I’m not going to get into that any further as I don’t want this to be about the vaccines.

I am truly sorry to read you are going through such a terrible thing, having lost a mum and sis to it I understand more than you’d believe.
What kind of ‘new normal’ would you expect/like? I’m genuinely interested how you see things, moving forward.

Thank you, and I’m sorry to read about your mum and sis.

In terms of a new normal - of the cuff; I think legal protection for the vulnerable would be a good start, to allow them to continue to work from home (as an example), I think in high risk places (trains being a good example) face masks should be mandatory, and again high risk places (the train) should have some form of social distancing, I think packing people in like sardines should be a thing of the past.

Referencing the needs of many - wearing a face mask on a train or in an enclosed space really isn’t a huge ask - and if you make 1 person safer/happier why would you not (to be clear, those who are unable for whatever reason they should not be forced).

If he had but one atom of scientific knowledge in his being he would never use the term 'build or boost your immunity'. What he would say, is 'keep healthy'.

And unfortunately, those who need the protection, are unable to stay healthy, due to disease, or age or other medical complications are the ones who we need to protect. They are immunocompromised (weakened immune system).

Boosting or building our immune system is a phrase used by quacks, snake oil sales people and anyone out to make a quick buck on selling a promise of 'strong immune system.'

The concept of boosting immunity actually makes little sense scientifically.

In fact, boosting the number of cells in your body — immune cells or others — is not necessarily a good thing.

For example, athletes who engage in "blood doping" — pumping blood into their systems to boost their number of blood cells and enhance their performance — run the risk of strokes.

Attempting to boost the cells of your immune system is especially complicated because there are so many different kinds of cells in the immune system that respond to so many different microbes in so many ways.

Which cells should you boost, and to what number? So far, scientists do not know the answer.

because, as simply stated by Harvard Medical School for example...

How can you improve your immune system?

On the whole, your immune system does a remarkable job of defending you against disease-causing microorganisms.

But sometimes it fails: A germ invades successfully and makes you sick.

Is it possible to intervene in this process and boost your immune system? What if you improve your diet? Take certain vitamins or herbal preparations? Make other lifestyle changes in the hope of producing a near-perfect immune response?

The idea of boosting your immunity is enticing, but the ability to do so has proved elusive for several reasons.

The immune system is precisely that — a system, not a single entity.

To function well, it requires balance and harmony.

There is still much that researchers don't know about the intricacies and interconnectedness of the immune response.

For now, there are no scientifically proven direct links between lifestyle and enhanced immune function.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't stop trying to live a healthier lifestyle.

  • Don't smoke.
  • Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
  • Get adequate sleep.
  • Take steps to avoid infections, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.
  • Try to minimize stress.
  • Keep current with all recommended vaccines. Vaccines prime your immune system to fight off infections before they take hold in your body.

Just a clown, a boyman.

"We" don't need to explain anything, the NHS does it as standard as anyone with a serious illness will know. Vital life-saving drugs can often lower the immune system and or cause infection and it is a fine balancing act for medical professionals.

Some people should just STFU instead of making themselves look even bigger fools

I am happy to be a person who wants to help and protect those that need it, and also to protect myself. I will wear a mask, continue to get vaccinated, use gels, wash my hands, stay socially distanced, and anything else that is needed. It is the least I can do. I have no fear of masks or vaccines. Doing those things costs me nothing. Nothing at all. But the benefits are a million fold.

The guy is all over the place. Doesn't understand his own argument. Endlessly waffles on about freedom and rights while denying the same freedom and rights to everyone.

Separate railway carriages are a prime example of his ignorance.

Following the direction of his own logic, that means all public transport.

Then it will mean separate supermarkets.

Workplaces.

The vulnerable never leaving their homes.

Etc.

Just like Hitler introduced in Germany in the 1930s in regards to the Jews.

Or "white" only carriages while black people were crammed in 3rd class in the USA.

A newly created "underclass" of "undesirables" just because snowflakes like him object to wearing a mask for 20 minutes or even a few hours in enclosed spaces.

You are very quick to listen to other people and make judgments.
You do realise that this whole statement makes absolutely no sense whatsoever ?.

"very quick to listen to other people" errrr is that bad ? surely that`s normal ? how else do i answer them if i don`t listen to what they say ?

" and make judgements" ....again .the outcome of any dialogue is to respond in some manner to that dialogue ?.

This Forum is going to the Dogs rapidly !

I don’t want a ‘new’ normal,
Pity that matey ,because we already HAVE a new normal !. What are these scientists doing creating new crossover Virus`s anyway ?and why are they allowing the nasty Virus`s out into the Worlwide domaine ?
Eventually a killer Virus will be created which will wipe out all of Mankind ,apart from the extremely rich !

Whoever wrote that has common sense ,more than the confusion of this thread !
