"
Now, I could go on about the flaws of home education (e.g. lack of socialisation, reflections of deficits in parental learning)" writes CatLady.

What utter codswallop ! my daughter home educated 2 children and i am sure she is capable .She has a degree ffs ! " Didn`t you know that Home Education has rocketed since the Pandemic and Lockdown ? You appear to be the one who is "lacking ".
I see examples of "socialising " on TV every day . The lunatic crowds at football matches and concerts . The drunken slobs who foul the streets on a weekend .How "social " can you get ? Beat up the other drunks and junkies ,please do ! Socialising ? hahahahahahaha ,i`d rather talk to my Cat :).

That whole passage smacks of "i`m better than you " ; "my way is better than you or your family" ....if you were not so blinkered you might see this.

I'm not blinkered and I do see it- I often smell of a superiority complex.
In my defence, my first reply to you was not an intention of anyone being better than anyone- it was simply a response of debate and putting across another view. However, you then started to become defensive and responded with an attack- hence, another poster stating 'Spiky' in response to your post. Even my response after that, I began with saying that I would probably love you in real life and l indicated that I would love to hear your stories of the 50's and 60's- is that the response of someone who thinks they're better than you?
And that is me- I talk with long words and complicated sentences, and will challenge just about any viewpoint, because that's my style of conversation. And actually, I don't mind being proven wrong or someone giving me a perception I hadn't thought of- I will always be the first to admit that I don't know everything and my view is not the be-all and end-all. By accepting mistakes in your own learning is the only way to gain knowledge.

How you divide your money now determines how you would share it should you be unlucky enough to become rich

I think very similarly to you . We could be kindred spirits :) .
You have caught me with the big words but i like to read big words as long as they are not using me as a target for their complex .
Hope you have a nice week at work
