Unbelievably, the Labour Party rejected a "progressive" alliance with the SNP (and the Green Party) in Edinburgh after the May local election and has now instead formed a minority alliance with the Tory Party (and the Lib Dems) to keep the SNP and the Greens out.
Don't rub your eyes if you are on the left because you have just read that correctly.
The Scottish wing of the Labour Party has now done a deal with the same two political parties that have given us 12 years of austerity then later Brexit with the Tories, 200 billion pissed down a Covid blackhole, 40,000+ needless OAP deaths (genocide), partygate, and this car crash of a PM, Boris.
Who the hell advises these people, Independence is inevitable, it can't be stopped and it is just political suicide to try to slow down the inevitable by forming an alliance, for a single city, with the auld enemy.
How the f/uck, in all seriousness, can Keir Starmer stand up in parliament now and quite rightly condemn the Tory Party when his own party has just jumped into bed with them in Scotland, and the very same Keir Starmer BTW who is responsible for removing the former left-wing leadership in Scotland.
Edited to add. Welsh Labour, on the left, who have distanced themselves from central power did very well in Wales with a Corbnynite left-wing manifesto.
