I voted for Brexit, but was disappointed when there was no Brexit candidate in the last General election. Happily there is a Reform candidate in my area, for this election. I can't emphasise enough, how important it is to use your right to vote on the 4th of July.

Vote for Reform, it's time for a change.

Elton John has urged Brits to vote Labour. Ah well, that's clinched it for me - I'm voting Reform! Nigel Farage is today's Julius Caesar. :)

Reform UK is a registered private company in which 100% of shares are held by only a handful of people, the controlling share, 53% held by director Nigel Farage.

30% of shares are held by the multi-millionaire Reform chairman Richard Tice (Brexit) who bankrolls the party.

There is no membership, no internal political structures, and Farage promoted himself to the leader's position when Tice resigned. 115,00 paying supporters have no voting power and can not influence policy in any way.

Farage himself has indicated Reform will “democratise over time”.

But not in time for this democratic election, though, right?

Polls indicate disillusioned Tory voters will vote Reform and although Reform vote share has now dropped from its peak it is still a sizeable 18%, which is the difference between an 80/90 seat majority for Labour and a 130/140 seat majority.

A vote for Reform is a vote for Starmer and Labour. :)

I am aware of some of the shortcomings of this party, I am also aware that at the end of the day, they are politicians and will at some point, break their promises.
Just like all the other parties will.

But I'm still going to vote for them.

The Reform party's grandiose plans for its future are predicated on Nigel Farage getting into parliament. If he fails to win in Clacton Reform will go the same way as UKIP and the Brexit party.
Don't forget to go out and vote today folks.
I live in a safe Labour seat so it doesn't really matter if or who I vote for. I was actually going to vote this morning on my way home from work but there was a queue. But to whom should I lend my precious vote to? I certainly wouldn't vote Conservative. The Greens? you're 'aving a laugh. Liberals? Ed Davey is enough to put me off them. The independent chap? I have no idea who he is. When I drag myself out of bed later I'll probably vote Reform.

It woul be interesting to find out who you voted for in the end.
The Reform candidate in my area came third, which is a little disappointing, but they made an impact. Infact all the Reform candidates in my county have done well. Reform could become a seious contender in future elections.

The Conservatives are waking up to why so many people support Reform. They should regard the new Labour government as just keeping the seat warm while the Tories and Reformers get together and create a new party.

Knowing that all spoiled ballot papers get read by the candidates, I was going to scrawl on my paper something like protect women's spaces! But I ended up just putting an X in the box next to the Reform candidate. As expected, Labour got back in with an increased majority. Reform came second.

Farage is an asshole, he is big on words but actually has never accomplished anything.

Reform has policies that wont stand the test of time, they will have to back pedal on all of them.

The Tories know what the future holds, they will be in opposition for a few years then back because Labour can't fix the sh** we are in.

Labour will be a disaster.

Yet more sneery attacks on the other thread, and then one second later totally contradicts himself on this one.

Because all I see are half formed opinions based on little more than "I am right"

What is the point of arguing when you actually know feck all about the subject your debating?

Bizarrely, followed by -

All it does is divide people more than is needed.

We should be trying to find a common ground, not arguing about petty bullshit.

Followed up on a pro Reform thread with childish insults about Farage.

Farage is an asshole, he is big on words but actually has never accomplished anything.

Petty (emotive) bullshit indeed.

Clearly, Farage has never “accomplished” anything at all, right?

Except for Brexit, the greatest political/economic upheaval certainly since the introduction of Thatcherism (neoliberalism on speed), and a seismic shock that at one point threatened the existence of the world's largest trading bloc.

Followed by a Johnson majority in the 2019 election when Farage pulled 317 Brexit Party candidates from running in the election in Tory seats. To avoid splitting the vote in Tory seats and when pro Brexit Boris then won a sizeable majority. Compared to only two years earlier and when Corbyn came so close to victory running on a Brexit platform but later changed to Remain in 2019 and hence Farages decision two years later.

Who won 5 seats this election and split the Tory vote in 90+ seats, handing Starmer an even larger majority on a lower count than Corbyn achieved in both 2017 and 2019.

Half a million more votes than the Lib Dems but 67 seats less due to FPTP and 14% Reform versus 12% Lib Dems

I am no fan of Farage, or the far right, but the sausages like this one, who believes that he is some sort of political guru (just like Fred), doesn't help matters underestimating Farage and the populist right, and it is just pure ignorance. :)

Damn you do like to quote out of context.

Matters little, Farage is still an asshole, I dont think you know anything about my politics, so it's probably best leave it there.

To me you just like being someone who likes to think they are a victim of something.
If thats personally true, then you have my sympathy, if however you just want to b**** and moan about politics, then.. have fun, but according to you, I am not allowed to talk to you, so either you find me to aggresive, or you cant back up your statements, I dont care either way, but know if you challenge me I will answer whatever you ask :)

I am a 50+ year old man, who only types when drunk, how hard can it be lol

There's talk of a Reform Party breakaway splinter group. I'm reminded of The People's Front of Judea and The Judean People's Front. :)

Working class lads and lasses are useful idiots in the minds of people such as Farage.
