I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.

The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow—
Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an india-rubber ball,
And he sometimes gets so little that there’s none of him at all.

I was wondering in my bed,
feeling a bit sad.
What is going to fill the empty Space,
I said many Grace.
Big Foot was on my mind,
so big and kind.
Hairy too,
made me a bit Blue.
What to do?
Go to a Zoo?
Find me a Gorrila,
that Fluckes the Hell out of me like Godzilla!

Old men chasing women half their age,
Acting like a dog on heat, that should be kept in a cage,
Drooling over women, when they're old enough to be their dad,
Thinking with their manhood, which is rather sad,
Reminiscing to their younger years, when they were a lad,
Nowadays it's a distance dream of what they could of had,
Hoping they've still got it, clinging on to with all their might,
Wanting to be forever masculine and virial, for that they will fight,
Chatting up women young enough to be their daughters, like its alright,
Not seeing how creepy and inappropriate they are,
Why they think they have a chance is really quite bizarre,
Aging egos wanting to be hot, hip and in with a chance,
Desiring pretty younger women, like they're in a trance,
Knowing full well they won't keep up, yet still get led on a merry dance,
Flashing any cash they may have, taking viagra to enhance,
No shame at all, not one little bit,
Daydreaming of their younger years, when they could handle it,
Thinking they'll be the envy of all their friends and more,
Another notch on the bed post, as they try to keep score,
Common sense, self-respect and dignity have gone,
Really have no shame at all the way they carry on,
Hairline receding, saggy body parts, lines and wrinkles on their face,
Chasing women like dogs on heat, acting a disgrace,
Getting led on, like they have a chance, thinking that its ace,
Knowing full well they just can't hack the pace,
Advertising their deepest sense of failure, their every insecurity,
Playing the big i am, like hey look at me,
Wanting to go back to when they had no responsibility,
Shallow, superficial, egotistical men, acting like a dog with a bone,
Clinging onto distance youth, or just scared to be alone,
Hoping all these younger beauties will be hitting up their phone,
Dirty old perverted men, mid crisis in full swing,
Says more about who they are, more than anything.

Have you seen them, short on charm
Hanging on the rich man's arm?
Painted faces, pouting breasts,
Showing all that she suggests.
With no time for the boys next door
She offers herself as a w****.

Wow, you took the time to write a piece of poetry about these kind of men?
Why does it bother you so much?
I'm curious.

I write poetry anyway, on various things and have done for years, it was just another idea of many for one

Just came across as a bit bitter.
I'd never spare a thought on these sort of men, let alone waste time on writing poetry about them, but then again, I'm not you.

That is how you viewed or understood it, not how i wrote it, so not much i can say tbh

If I could but do things all over again,
retrace my steps back to where I started,
I would do things quite differently.
I shouldn’t have…
idiotically fallen for your innocent exterior,
blind to the evil lurking deep in your soul.
let myself be hypnotized by sensuality
that hid your latent, calculating cruelty.
splurged like a love-starved teenager,
giving my all to a shameless gold digger.
loved you and let you turn this shell of a man
into a total wreck now devoid of self-respect.
left the comforting embrace of hearth and family,
seduced by your faithless assassin charm.
I should have…
listened to my conscience whispering, imploring
me not to be swayed by the allure of the flesh.
used my common sense, my brain, not my loins,
to turn back the power of your magical spell.
been content with my good woman’s love,
dispelling lust and the folly of my ways.
crushed you before getting myself entangled
within your web of deceit and false promises.
It's cold out here in the street, no roof over my head,
shivering, trembling, on this wind-swept evening.
If only I could do things all over again...
God, if only I could."
