Because it's all we have. Right or wrong it's pretty much the only system that has ever even come close to working. As I have stated before, until someone comes up with a viable alternative (and nobody ever has), we have no choice but to live with it. Moaning about it is worse than pointless.

No system will ever please everyone. It really is as simple as that.

It is not within the human condition.
In fact, if you also consider our wildlife, there will always be a pack leader.
It's the way it is so...I suggest that our system of benign capitalism is as good as you will get.
At least it has stood the test of time.
