My Alexa upgrade

This weekend I'm upgrading my old Alexa system at home. There a sale on

So what do I use this for?

Heating, lighting. CCTV and washing machine control.

It may sound lazy, wakening up in the dark and getting out of bed to turn on a lights is beyond me. I have an Alexa by the bed being used as alarm clock.

Alexa reminds me of appointment's and lets me go hands free on the phone at home too. When your on hold for 2 hours this can be a useful function. I can get on with jobs around the house while waiting.

Last nite I was setting up the new kettle ...........

The curtains and lights were done too. The heating is linked and cctv.

I've gone a bit over the top with this upgrade

I've just had a look at prices, again there back up by 1/3. If you want one of these units, wait for the sales.

Accurate, but a little pre-emptive.

If there really is another war involving the West, do you think it will remain none nuclear.
You must, otherwise, why upgrade?

Or is it that Alexa will warn you of impending nuclear strike or invasion before anything else so you can run to your bunker, or cellar, or bedroom and hide.

In the UK, our government will send us all a text. Alexa wont be much good...I can say the same of anything electric. This wont mean I'm going to bin my e bike or toaster.

Alexa is like the washing machine or vacuum cleaner, just another "mod con" to make life easier. .
