Men in women's sport

I've been watching the Curling at the Olympics, quite addictive and compelling viewing. It got me thinking...This must be one sport where men and women could compete on equal terms.

i can imagine shooting events, target shooting and archery, as direct competition. also mixed tennis doubles and mixed rowing may work for combinations

Whilst I enjoyed the Curling I was taken aback when I read that £6.5 million taxpayers money/Lottery funding was spent on preparing the team for the Olympics. Works out at nigh on £650,000 per person, with not much to show for it, just one solitary Silver medal. But it got me thinking about men in women's sport... You never hear of trans men wanting to compete in men's sport, funny that?
