he he. I would get a bus across town in the mid-90's to my dad's workplace just to read up on all my favourite geeky topics online. The days of Altavista, Netscape etc. A real age of innocence!
Oh like my great great uncle lugi invented the tv but someone stole the plans . His name is Lugi Baird a very distant relative on my ma's side .
I remember the days of dial up modems and PRESTEL

PRESTEL was an online version of teletext, run by the Post Office.
Anyone heard or ARPANET lol
I remember our internet provider was called Freeserve, which then got taken over by Wanadoo and then by Orange. I also remember Telexes and Word Processers that used to be housed in a freestanding cabinet. I remember once watching my Mum and a colleague having a huge typing row with the Telex Operator.
Iuse to work on the telexes repairing them
