Genuine and real

Sadly this still seems to be a thing with chatters and has not changed people tell you all sorts of lies to cover their own failings why not just be genuine and honest?

They just suddenly ignore you after talking for a while this to me is nothing more than lack or respect for those you are talking to it's no wonder people are leaving in their droves and are not staying this includes chatters that have been here since the start. Unfortunately the nature of chat as it is in real life, it is not real on here sadly but could be a medium of good if we chose for it to be.

Some of the smaller rooms are ok as they have built up that sense of friendship and this tells though they will be quieter as people have lives to get on with.

It would be nice to see the genuine ones again, we are all free to do as we wish of course as was pointed out to me recently on this sort of discussion we are free to talk to whomever we wish and that is as it should be but that does not mean that it is ok not to be genuine.

Just a few thoughts make of it what you will but remember if you are one of the less genuine don't be surprised or upset if it happens to you Karma is around the old saying what goes around comes around.

I so agree with your comments and I have been lucky enough to make some friends on here I hope you have too I have always admired the way you speak and can see you are genuine and upfront we have had some times we got in to discussing mutual interests and I appreciate that I consider you to be a friend too hope you do and thanks for your input it says it so much more eloquently than I can

The other side to this is the being genuine can they be as this leaves them open to everything

I think being genuine is saying ok catch you later not just suddenly stop talking to you which happens

Manners seem to have been forgotten you can see why people are asking for their account to be deleted daily

Isn't that the beauty of the internet - you can chat to people you wouldn't dream of having in your home. I mean, who are these people typing away at the keyboard? They could be anyone, how can you tell if they're genuine? Even if you've chatted on the phone, or met in person, you can't really be sure. It should take a long time before someone earns your trust. Just enjoy chatting online for what it is...
I take the point about people suddenly stopping chatting to you, but sometimes you just run out of things to say at the time. And as for people leaving the site, chatters come and go, so there's always someone to interact with.

The consequences of being too nice. We shouldn't feel responsible for other people's emotions. Im not sure what ur looking for from this chatroom .Excess niceness can feel insincere or manipulative, making others wonder if there is an hidden agenda. People who are too nice often fail to set limits, allowing others to take advantage of them or it can lead to burn out . Being too nice often means over functioning as a people pleaser. Eventually they realise it's not for them. Try chatting in the lobby or other rooms and don't private chat sometimes people are too nice to tell you so they take the easy way out. That's life

Too many folk out there taking kindness for weakness.... Greedy, greedy folk who feel their needs exceed others. Bless em all in fire and brimstone...

And as someone else mentioned earlier in the thread....... Thank goodness for karma. I like her..... She's got claws....or should that be clause? Rhetorical.... merely thinking aloud.
