Who can lead Labour back into power? My initial thinking is...
Wes Streeting

Working class background ✔

State educated ✔

Charismatic ✔

Northern constituency ✘

Gainful employment prior to becoming an MP ✘
Kier Starmer is brilliant. This bunch of Tory posh-boys are so inept, that all Labour have to do is sit tight

Starmer is the best thing that happened to the Tories. He’s made Labour EVEN more unelectable than Corbyn managed. That’s some feat.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I quite liked Jeremy Corbin as Labour leader.

Maybe they should try to persuade Sadiq Khan to give up being mayor of London and have him as leader, as Boris is an ex mayor of London and he is making such a fine job of running the country. :p

If the labour are ever going to appeal to the wider audience without massively virtue signalling, self serving and sneering at people over a difference of opinion and challenging the corruption by the tories, its should be Zarah Sultana. She is one of the very few who speaks out against it and thats really the path she has to continue with. I dont agree with all her sentiments but i believe that she speaks on what she believes is the truth in the main and it comes from a place of integrity. The minute she starts trying to appeal to the far left(not the left, as there is a difference in my book) and their champagne socialist ideology of preaching socialism while enjoying all the trappings of a capitalist society, is the day shell truly never get anywhere as the general public tend to see through it.

I`m not well into current politics but i rather like that guy who is top man in Manchester. Is his name Andy ,something ?. He seems a pretty knowledgable and working hard guy.
The chap you're thinking of is Andy Burnham who has been mentioned a couple of times above ^^^^^^^
For me, there is only one choice for the next PM and that is Jeremy Corbyn.
You're consistent, i'll give you that :)

As for Zarah, an interesting post, but too many things are against her. If I'm thinking of the same person, she's way too young for a start, a career politician straight from Uni and I think it will be decades before this country is ready for a Muslim prime minister. If i've got the wrong person, I apologise. Oh and lol @ 'champagne socialist ideology' :) I think they used to call them Fabians.

Until they get rid of the Virtue signalling, pro Blm, woke , anti jewish , anti Christian, anti Brexit, Champagne quaffing, Guardian reading, Londoncentric, BBC defending, Whited sepulchres , they are f....d. Won't matter who the leader is, now will it ?
Also without a foot hold in Scotland which used to consistently return about 50 labourites they will be f....d anyway, even without the aformentioned.

Andy Burnham is a prediction i would make after Keir Starmer leaves. I think what people make the mistake is that just because someone is popular in a town or city, doesn't mean they will win elections in general across the UK. But they'll need to regain seats in Scotland if they ever want to sniff the door of number ten again, and i just don't see that happening.

But I feel apathetic towards all of the main parties right now. Let down after let down. I'll still vote, don't get me wrong, but i may think about voting for Independent candidates in the future, or i may just think about putting my name forward in my local area lol. I'm just sick of people being taken advantage of, especially carers, who have been poorly mistreated for generations. I think they should get better pay, fairer working hours(more rest days per week), perks and benefits including health care options(a 5p weekly tax to place into that health care pot for carers so that they're covered), holding agencies to account by making sure they're treating their staff better and not piling too much work on people(my mother years ago, used to work up to 80+ hours a week, and it made her ill).

then we would likely see Andy Burnham take the reigns, who is a Communist, and could very well become the most extreme far-left leader that Labour could ever have.

Now I could patiently explain Burnham is considered to be a Brownite or even Blairite, liberal and to the centre-right of politics on the current political spectrum but it would be completely pointless wouldn't it. I could explain he is also a professional politician who advised Blair ministers before being parachuted into his "safe" seat and then Greater Manchester as Mayor but it would be completely pointless, wouldn't it.

A political chameleon who is all things to all people but one thing he most certainly isn't is a "communist" and so potentially the "most extreme far-left leader labour ever had".

On a 'commie' scale of 1-10, Corbyn was a 3-4 and Burnham is a -10.
