have sites like facebook stolen a ton of people from forums ?
seems like individ forums are losing out.... facebook allows people to create
sites for 1000s of subjects... reddit is a bit similar
whereas forums are for individual subjects

The early 2000's were the halcyon days for chat rooms/forums. The arrival of social media platforms all but killed them off. As for forums they've always played second fiddle to the chat rooms. Best to just make the best of it.

Iv'e been a Forummer for the past 20 years or so. The chat rooms are quick fire for folks who can type fast. I'm a bloke... I can use a spanner way quicker and fix mechanical equipment faster than i can type on a keyboard.

Nothing wrong with this forum at all.

Don't really need more members. Just the members here chat in the Forums more instead of the quick fire / quick fix chat.
