Sorry to go a little off topic, but I am wondering why certain members post pictures of dogs sitting in cars/hippos and funny looking men? I think the images are meant as an insult, to certain members that they don't agree with. I personally find the images more humorous, than insulting.

I used to belong to a lovely American run forum

I used aol America chatrooms ,not the UK ones as a few people here seem to suggest ! I find the Americans much more sociable than the Brits ,i`m not sure why that is but i still think i`m right about that.

I'm curious to know why forums based in the UK attract so many Americans. Are there so few decent sites in the States? I have just left a UK-based site because there were more Americans than British and there were arguments about the spellings of words and many of the expressions they use are meaningless to us.

I have never really found the language difference to be a problem between Americans and Brits, it can be funny sometimes though.

Because they are bloody thick thats why! Animals DO have more common sense than they do .
