Council tax…

an unsexy topic.

but,

it’s going up.

and this is insanely unfair!

for example:

Buckingham Palace, valued at £1bn, is in band H & charged £1,828 by Westminster Council

That’s less than an average 3-bed semi in Blackpool

And…

“46% of households in England will receive a bigger council-tax bill than the Palace”

Anyway,

despite knowing how grossly unfair this is,

just yesterday,

our Tory Govt. overlords refused any council tax reform,

not for them helping those that need it,

they in their wisdom decided to help and award,

the Royals,

the landed gentry,

anyone with a peerage

or 'loadsa money, land etc'

by keeping them in their good 'accounting' books.

Votes for Dosh!

Tory scum,

Tory thieves,

Tory liars.

Vote out!

To help out.

How about learning to construct your sentences properly?
I imagine, like me, many others, (I'm guessing about 10, conservatively), found this quite irritating to read not only in its presentation but also in its content. It's a somewhat childish view of our fine and upstanding
government, to say the least.
I do hope that there are many people, like you, worried about the 'Tory' threat to your pitiable, political perspective.

Oh, the irony (he's been on the bumble juice again).

When he should have typed.

There, corrected "it" for him.

I doubt "it" will thank me.

What a silly sausage, eh! :D

I know that I am always guaranteed an audience of at least one, so long as you still have an active account.

I see that you removed your facile response, e-Kev45. It's reassuring that even you have the occasional 'reality check'.
Or were you embarrassed about referring to someone in the third person? It did look rather weird, I must say.
I'm sure the 'O.P.' is capable of submitting their own reply without your intervention.

I live in a Labour constituency and my council tax is more than some of the more affluent English Conservative constituencies. The councils & police are constantly on 'money saving schemes', cutting services, yet constantly asking for more money. Our proposed council tax rise, this year, is nearly 10%.

No idea what the rise if for! They've cut bin collections by a third and we now have to pay for garden waste to be collected. I never see a street cleaner- we have voluntary groups that clean the local beaches. The police don't respond to a number of crimes- one being burglary. If it's something that can be claimed on insurance, you get a crime number- no investigation. They've reduced the number of council buildings already- most of their staff are now working from home or hybrid- and only the buildings where there is a need for face-to-face enquiries are being kept, going forward.
Oddly, those at the top of the corporate chain never seem to get a pay cut in their money saving schemes and they are constantly employing 'experts' or 'consultants' in virtue signalling!

I always loved the quote:-

Stupidity is a condition,
Ignorance is a choice.

Seems people love to be ignorant when they have that choice.

Perhaps a little thinking would serve people better than a picture of a dog?
