Do you keep a diary?

Late last year, way before lockdown, I saw a lovely, new, plump handsome looking diary, marked down for a quid. I love stationary.
So I bought it. It was a bit like when at school you got a new exercise book and was able to forget the mess you had made in the old one. Anyhow, I was pleased with my purchase and brought it home and placed it on my desk, fully intending to begin on the first day of the new year.
I really meant to do it. When I opened my desk draw recently it lay there, all virginal and quite forgotten.
It's not as though there is not much going on is it?
