I believe in ME. What I see in the Mirror when I look into it.

Some folks just can't do that.

They can't face themselves. I can.

Guardian Angels. I'm agnostic, so open minded to a bigger energy/energies and there have been many incidents in my life where it's felt as if 'something' was looking after me.

Do you believe in any myths , legends or folklores ? Do you think it’s just silly stories, made up to scare people or can they hold some truth ?

I’m at Bodmin in Cornwall , should I expect to see the beast passing the cabin ?

One of the ones I'll never forget...I wasn't always very sensible when I was younger and one particular night, after drinking enough to sink a ship and spending my taxi money, I stupidly decided to walk home alone in the early hours of the morning. P!ssed as a skunk, but still functioning enough to safely put one foot in front of the other, I started on the empty main roads towards home. However, as you get out of the main town, there were two ways to go- up the back alley- isolated; an up hill path behind houses that was bordered with trees and thick shrubs- or the main road, past blocks of flats, etc. The back alley was a short cut and would cut a good 15 minutes off my journey, but to any sensible person, the most risky. Best to stay out in the main road, where others can hear you scream or you can flag down a car, if need be.

However, when I looked down the main road and started to turn, I thought I heard an old friend shout my name from the direction of the back alley- I hadn't seen him out in the clubs for a good few months, but as he lived round the area, it wouldn't have been unusual for him to be going home from a mates or another club at that time of the morning. He had a distinctive voice and called me by a pet name he had for me, so I instantly recognised the voice as him. I called back and followed to where I'd heard his voice come from. Got closer and heard my name again. When he didn't reply, I thought 'Sod it! If I run up the alley, I'll probably meet up with him at the top!', but I didn't. I called out every now again, but by the time I got to the top, I hadn't seen or heard another soul. I just went home, disappointed he'd buggered off before I got to him, but too tired to care that much.

The following week, the local paper ran a story about a stabbing that took place on the main road, at the same time I would have been walking down there that night. Two blokes had gotten into a fight in the car park and decided to battle it out with knives! Part of the road was cordoned off for about 2 days. At the time, I must have thought it was a lucky coincidence, I don't recall. I just recall my mum asking me if I'd seen or heard anything, because of the time I'd got in and the road being closed off.

That was in the April and it was probably only a few weeks after that night, I was browsing in the local paper and saw an article about my friend. It was an article about his inquest. He'd been found dead in the January and I'd had no idea. These were the days before social media and mobile phones, and we only had one mutual friend, who I also hadn't seen for months. He was 21 years old and had been suffering with severe depression, when he was found in bedroom by his mum.

There's more, but as you say- some you can't really explain or tell anyone ;)

My advice ,for what it`s worth is not to try explaining your story to anyone online ,specially in chatrooms.I did this to a female chatter way back when i was with another server and they seemed genuinely interested at the time. She then picked up with a man who used the same chatrooms and ran off with him ( she was married too!) but not before she and he had openly mocked my story in the chatrooms and the man( if he can be called that !) went on to relate it openly on this site more recently . Now there is one small clique who have seen the word and ,when they feel like a troll ,they openly mock the story in these chatrooms .

The crux of my story is that i was friendly with someone in a chatroom but didn`t realise just how ill they were. The person died one night and i know for a fact that i was the last person to talk to them on the phone . Not only that but i had a sign on the same night and i got in touch with a sister later that week and they had only just found out about it . Seems quite a story but the sister was so struck by what i knew that she sent me the last remaining ashes from the funeral. Still not impressed ? well the friend lived in the States ! and was cremated in the sea off Florida.
My wife knew about our friendship and we both decided to make a small part of our garden a sort of shrine in memory.
I must add that i`m a religious sceptic but i have had enough strange experiences to claim to know that Paranormal does exist .
I may send a photo when /if i feel inclined but ,as i said, don`t trust many people in chatrooms to be kind .

Like others, I believe in guardian angels.
I think someone who I was very close to watches over me, I find white feathers in the oddest of places, especially when I have felt down.
To me, that's a sign they have been close.

We ( wife & myself) are big believers in Angels in the form of White feathers. The story i just told was a prelude to White feathers appearing all the time in the most unlikely places at the most unlikely times . This carried on for several years but we had to move house and the Orbs ,which were a sort of calming sign to me ,plus the feathers have since stopped :(.We do get quite a few white feathers but our garden has a lot of Pigeons nesting and it could just be natural when we get feathers ,not supernatural.

It's easy to be confused when white feathers appear.
We have lived near swans, I suspect at times they were responsible for some of the gorgeous feathers I have found.:p

At other times, one has appeared in the most unusual places, even in a coat pocket, just when I have needed one.

Maybe your feathers stopped because her work was done.

I despise White Feathers, the way they were used as a propaganda tool during World War 1.
Women giving them out to men dressed as civilians proclaiming them cowards for not being in uniform.

"James Cutmore had attempted to volunteer for the British Army in 1914 but was rejected because he was short-sighted. "But in 1916, as he walked home to south London from his office, a woman gave him a white feather.... He enlisted the next day. By that time, they cared nothing for short sight. They just wanted a body to stop a shell, which Rifleman James Cutmore duly did in February 1918, dying of his wounds on March 28."
