I remember seeing this film when it first came out about 20 years ago. Natasha Lyonne takes the lead with RuPaul playing a straight role.
it was supposed to be a satire on gay conversion camps run by religious communities in America bible belt. The idea that with therapy and God's love you can become straight Homosexuality was a lifestyle choice.
I've watched it again and realized that it was just gay propaganda playing on every day stereotypes.
