Sadly, you have formed the wrong impression of what Forums are intended for.
If you click on Chat at the top of the page and choose one of the rooms there, you will have the luxury of 'real time' chat and not have to wait up to SIX months for a reply in Forum threads.
I hope you do choose to use the chat rooms because I can assure you you will derive more satisfaction there than in the Forums nowadays.
