Age option

I seem to be having a problem with my age not showing on my profile. I have looked at the settings and I don't wish to show my full birth date, so opted for year only and saved, but when page is refreshed the tick disappears and is left unchanged.

If you uncheck "Show day and month of birth" it uncheck the additional option by default.

How would I show just my age then, without it showing my full birthdate?
